Emcee: Florence Large, owner of Spirit Journey Works, is an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor. Florence has served her people in a variety of capacities over the course of her professional career. Florence has worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant, Registered Dental Assistant, Elementary School Counsellor, and Addictions Counsellor, and is currently the Program Manager of Eagle Healing Lodge, under the umbrella of Saddle Lake Health Care Centre.
Presenter: Denise Toner has dedicated her life to helping others in their quest for balance within themselves, family, community and environment. With over 20 years experience as a "Good Life Student", Denise combines the use of the Medicine Wheel Process along with a variety of holistic approaches ranging from Energy Work, Qigong, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Empowerment exercises. Presenter: Inez Jasper, as one of Canada's top Aboriginal musicians, is an award-winning pop artist with powerhouse talent and universal appeal. She is also a registered nurse, mother of two, and a nationally recognized role model. Inez travels extensively to urban centers and indigenous communities to share inspirational messages of higher learning and healthy living. Presenter: Michelle Nieviadomy, is the recipient of the 2013 Esquao Award - Clara Woodbridge Community Involvement, for her work within the Aboriginal community in Edmonton, AB. She has a passion for community development and has worked in the social services field for over 10 years. As the owner of Iskwew Health & Wellness, Michelle is a personal trainer, group instructor, and facilitator, and has a passion and vision for transforming Aboriginal people from the inside out! |
